The next festival on my agenda is Primavera in Barcelona this weekend. Rather excited, if the truth be told. It will rock, especially as I am accompanying a group of attractive Spanish chicas, who will all, no doubt, be able to understand my rough attempts at Spanglish... Viva la difference as they say...

La Madrugada is Spanish for early morning. I love these moments, when most people are asleep, the apartent is silent, save the warping gurgles of the pipes and that constant buzz hum of electric generation. I live in a leafy barrio to the south west of Madrid, beneath the benevolent shade of horse chestnut trees and away from the heat, pollution and grime downtown....
